    Brian Reed’s run on Ms. Marvel was pretty good. The core of the character didn’t change a lot from his run to KSD’s. I think a lot of the new interest in Carol owes to the costume redesign. It’s easier for female fans to connect to Captain Marvel than Ms. Marvel because the costume design and the Frank Cho/Greg Horn cheesecake covers gave the impression that Carol was for dudes to ogle at. I don’t blame women for being reluctant to identify with a character in that position.

    So I’m not super worried. Even now, Kelly Sue isn’t the only one who writes Carol well. Hickman and Bendis do a good job in Avengers and Guardians, respectively.
